Our Tree Removal Services

With the different tree removal services here at Burns Tree & Lawn, you’ll be happy knowing that your trees are taken care of professionally and safely. Our arborists are experienced in handling tree removal safely and efficiently. The last thing you want is an inexperienced crew of arborists handling your tree removal service. The tree may land on your home, car, or damage other trees.

When You Should Call Us

You may find yourself in certain situations where you’re on the fence about giving us a call or trying to fix a situation yourself. However, there are times when you absolutely shouldn’t wait, and need to call us as soon as possible.

The first time is when tree branches extend over your house or car. This can pose serious problems for your safety, and if left unattended long enough, cause you to need an entire tree removal service.

You should also call us if you have other tree/stump problems. If a tree seems stuck at the stump, or you just can’t seem to get rid of the stump, we’ve got what it takes to remove the whole tree, and the stump right along with it. View our stump removal services and tree removal services for more information.

Additionally, if a tree completely obscures your view, it’s cause for concern. Once we arrive on scene, we’ll help you determine whether or not you need the tree fully removed or only need it trimmed. Regardless of your final decision, we’ll get right to work and help restore the beautiful appeal of your property, unobstructed by trees.

How Our Tree Removal Works

Whether you get our emergency tree removal services or you schedule an appointment for tree removal, it all starts with us surveying your property to come up with a plan. This will help us determine what equipment we need, how long the job will take (approximately), and any special safety considerations.

After that, we prepare an area, and get right to work. If your tree is especially large, we’ll attach the bigger branches to a crane before cutting them so they can be lowered safely. Then, we’ll cut the rest of the tree down, break it up, and start our cleanup process.

Stump Removal and Grinding Services

With our professional stump removal service, you don’t have to worry about your old tree’s roots growing into your plumbing and foundation. We also specialize in stump grinding, in cases where you don’t need the entire stump removed.

Stump Removal

Stump removal is reserved in more “serious” tree stump cases. If a tree’s root system extends to your plumbing, if it’s making the land uneven, or if it’s generally a bother to your property, then that’s when we tend to fully remove the stump.

When removing a stump, we first perform stump grinding to remove the visible portions from above ground. We mulch that up and remove it. Afterwards, we excavate the ground and remove the entire root system from the ground. Of course, we clean everything up once we’re finished and even offer topsoil placement if you need it.

Stump Grinding

Stump grinding involves cutting up the portions of a stump that are above ground, or visible to you and I. This is typically a process done when the stump lies far away from your home or other places that have a higher interaction rate.

It’s also advantageous to grind up stumps when we can, because that way we don’t have to excavate your property like we do with stump removal services. We just turn the portions of the stump into mulch, remove it, and go on our merry way.

Insect and Disease Management

Uncovering insects and disease in your trees and plants can be stressful. However, the process here at Burns Tree & Lawn makes recovery and preventive maintenance that much easier for you (and your plants).

The Inspection Stage

The first step in mitigating insects and disease damage to your plants and trees begins with an inspection. We’ll take a look at a few different things when performing these inspections.

First, we identify any holes in your tree leaves. Specific insects and diseases leave specific patterns of holes in the leaves, branches, and other parts of the tree. These patterns give us a good idea of where an infestation started, how much it’s progressed, and the type of disease or insect infecting it.

After that, we look for any discoloration on the leaves themselves. Are they stained a different color than they typically appear? This can also give us vital information about the disease or insects infecting the tree.

Finally, we’ll look for any dead insects or other abnormal things near the tree. If there are insects, this exactly tells us what infestation your trees have. If there’s only discoloration, no bites, and no insects, this tells us it could be a specific disease instead.

Giving Diagnoses

After our arborists carefully inspect your trees and plants, we’ll offer diagnoses for the problems.

We take all the information we learned in the inspection stage, put it together, and come up with the most plausible reasonings for the damaged trees. Once we’re 100% certain on a diagnosis (or diagnoses), we’re ready to start putting together a plan to remedy that and help your trees become healthy again. This is just part of our high customer satisfaction and how we do an exceptional job.

Creating An Action Plan

After you understand what types of insects or diseases are invading your back yard, it’s time for us to create a completely customized plan of action to attack those two things.

We’ve got many treatment options depending on the type of insect or disease infecting your trees and yard. We’ll personally oversee the doses of those treatments (if we need to use chemicals), and how often they need to be applied. We’ll help your trees and lawn get back to their healthy state once again.

Tree Trimming

Tree trimming doesn’t have to be an arduous or stressful process for you when you let us help you out.

Why is this? Well, as expert arborists, we’ve got access to tons of different equipment, man power, and ideas. When putting that all together, it makes for a seamless tree trimming process where you can’t go wrong.

Aside from tree trimming, we also have tree pruning. Although they’re similar, not every tree trimming company offers pruning. Pruning is the process of removing dead branches and diseased portions of your tree, while also still making the overall look of the tree good. To properly prune a tree, your arborist needs to have the knowledge of tree diseases and when it’s appropriate to trim the tree and how to trim it to encourage new, healthy growth.
